Mark L. Smith concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, intellectual property, and governmental investigations and actions, including white collar matters. Mark has extensive experience litigating antitrust cases, securities matters, cross-border litigation, consumer class actions, derivative claims, copyright and trademark infringement, false advertising, unfair competition claims, and mass tort actions as well as extensive experience litigating against the SEC, DOJ, FTC, and various state attorneys general. He also has litigated patent infringement claims, false claims act claims, RICO claims, and a broad array of other complex commercial claims. Mark provides counseling and training on eDiscovery matters, cross-border litigation, and antitrust and securities laws. Mark has represented a wide range of clients-from multinational Fortune 100 companies to smaller manufacturers and service providers-in both large and small matters.

Mark received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Utah. Representative Engagements:
