This course educates non-exempt employees about off-the- clock rules under California law.
Off-the- clock rules will be explained including various examples of off-the- clock work,
potential disciplinary actions for working-off- the-clock, and measures to ensure employers
and employees are not violating off-the- clock rules. Upon completion of the course,
employees will validate their understanding of off-the- clock rules through successful
completion of a learning assessment and will generate a certificate that can be printed and
maintained in HR files. When taken by new employees as part of onboarding and by existing
employees as a refresher, the course can help ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
and serve as part of a comprehensive risk mitigation strategy.
